New country deserves a new blog!

Shakira - Rabiosa

On Friday afternoon I should be making my bed in a dorm room in Krakow and I havent even packed half of one suitcase yet (yes, Kat, you were right and you know me too well and all that jazz- I would give you a lolly if I could for your concise predictions, way to go!)

My mother is constantly warning me of polish pirate taxis and I bet one of my father's famous life lessons are headed my way before I leave (probably the same ones I heard 4 years ago ;). Agata has given me adequate advice about what to do with regards to the first point though, so I am quite confident about not being eaten up by the city when I arrive.

Unlike most of my norwegian classmates (~66 others that I know of!!!) I will be flying from Sandefjord to Katowice, rather than Krakow directly, as it seems like a cheaper and smoother option. With two suitcases and a giant rucksack, this is going to be one of the more physical trips I have made as I am anticipating lots of on/off-loading in addition to the pulling and carrying. Thankfully this will happen only once (..possibly jinxing it here- damn!)

Reasons for abandoning my other blog are few but fair enough I think- I don't want to erase the header design from the internet.
Being the amateur I am with photo editing I was really happy with the design when I made it, and I will make an equally badass header for this blog when I find the time. I am obviously going to squeeze in waffle hearts here as well regardless of how unhealthy it might look on a "medic"'s blog. Ehe..
There are also other technical things that made me want to change blog platform. I have tried several others such as livejournal and wordpress but 'blogger' or whatever this thing I'm typing on is called seems to suit me well for now.
Also, for what it's worth, it's nice to be able to separate my time in Edinburgh from this new place I am going to. I think this is going to be as exciting for you (the few faithful followers I can count on my own fingers and toes) to read as it will be for me to write about now that *everything* is going to be new and flashy! ...except for my baking habit of course, which is inevitably going to continue ^_^

I would have wanted to have some champagne rampage for the official first-post, but realising how sad it is to drink on your own at 3 o'clock in the morning so I will refrain from doing so. Instead, you can see me and my parents' grins as we are celebrating my time in Edinburgh-
